As we look to the future, Kim remains committed to several key issues, outlined below. Join us in the journey to keep our city thriving and inclusive for all. Together, let’s continue the progress we’ve made and build an even stronger community.

Neighborhoods

Kim is dedicated to ensuring our neighborhoods are safe and walkable. She will continue to build on achievements that provide police with better tools for noise complaints and ease the process for residents to institute traffic calming measures. She voted to enforce the rental 60-day minimum stay rule to stop the “hotelization” of our neighborhoods. Additionally, Kim is committed to preserving the unique character of the community and will continue supporting strategic growth that channels new development towards main roads, protecting the tranquility of our residential neighborhoods. Finally, she will focus on tackling Lake Worth Beach’s housing crisis by ensuring these new developments include affordable and workforce housing units.

Public Health and Safety

Kim has been championing the creation of the DREAM Team, using federal funding to create a mobile response team of social workers and emergency medical personnel who can respond to non-criminal emergencies such as mental health and substance-abuse crises. And due to the increase in homelessness in South Florida, this team will also focus on outreach to homeless individuals in order to connect them to services in an effort to move them into stable housing. Instead of relying on PBSO to handle these calls, this will free up officers to focus on critical law enforcement duties and help create a results-driven, compassionate response.

Economy and Jobs

Kim is committed to advancing Lake Worth Beach’s economy and workforce. She will maintain the lineman apprenticeship program to train skilled professionals essential for the city’s infrastructure. With a recent $23 million federal grant, the city will create 100-125 high-quality jobs in technical and STEM fields, including 10 full-time positions. Furthermore, with the restoration of the Gulfstream Hotel approved, it is set to generate new employment and economic growth. And as a strong supporter of unions, Kim values their role in fostering a skilled and secure workforce.

Inclusivity

Kim will work hard to ensure that Lake Worth Beach continues to earn its status as Florida’s first LGBTQ+ Sanctuary City. At City Hall, Kim will resist the hateful attacks coming from Tallahassee and fight so that none of our communities are marginalized. LWB’s diversity is its strength – an eclectic community with a variety of cultures and where residents come from all walks of life.

Sustainability

Kim will fight tirelessly to make sure Lake Worth is on track to meet its goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2045. Her strategy includes prioritizing renewable energy and modernizing the electrical grid. Additionally, she will focus on continuing to improve stormwater infrastructure in crucial areas. Kim is also working to expand our city’s tree canopy to further beautify our area, contribute to cleaner air and shaded leisure spaces.

Public Open Spaces

Kim is dedicated to improving Lake Worth Beach with a community-centered approach, ensuring that spaces like the beach, Bryant Park, Spillway Park, and the golf course remain fully accessible to the public. She prioritizes keeping these areas open to everyone, recognizing their importance in making Lake Worth Beach stand out among coastal communities. Her plans include increasing activities at the ballroom and introducing a new restaurant on the casino’s second story, enhancing community engagement and enjoyment of these public spaces.
